Hot on the heels of what some are calling the easiest jailbreak ever, comes a warning that your iPad is vulnerable to hackers and exploits. The latest jailbreak takes advantage of a security hole in the iPad's PDF viewing code. By corrupting a font, the jailbreak can essentially force software onto your iPad. What makes this truly scary is that all you need to do is visit a website on your iPad and it is immediately exploited. Now that this is common knowledge, the Internet just got a whole lot scarier!
Apple is aware of this exploit but has yet to offer any kind of patch or fix. So until they do, let's be careful out there, and you might want to stay away from some of the dark corners and back roads of the net.
Reuters has recently run a story on this vulnerability.
